We will be taking a mellow morning walk into the beautiful bluebell filled woodland of Shanklin's America Wood, sending our senses into overdrive with the stunning blue carpet laid out before us and the sweet scent of spring flowers in the air.
We will start off by running through the various settings that can be used during this type of photography. We will work on landscape type compositions using Aperture Priority Mode, learning the most effective way to fill the frame and capture a fascinating image.
As we progress we will switch to Manual mode and work on singling out various subjects, individual flowers, logs, twigs or even butterflies, using depth of field to really make those subjects stand out, and if there is a good breeze we will also play with shutter speeds and the incredible effects that slower speeds can produce.
We will experiment with lighting effects and discover the huge difference that front or back lightning can make to the image.
